i hope not. I just called a place and told them i live in Onslow county and asked if i could have it done in Charlotte and they said yes anywhere in NC. Damn i will call some more places now when i get off of work.

I just know the AEM cant be read on those tests. Yeah i am pretty sure that there is nothing to plug it into. ok so since i am registered in Onslow County can i re register it for a different county in NC? I dont know how that works.

So if OBDII doesn't read, why don't they just stick the sensor up the tailpipe like pre 95 cars? As long as you have your cat on, it should pass.

It goes by residence...you have to give them a street address. P.O. Box wont work either. Is onslow county an emission county?

yeah i guess Onslow has it b/c i bought my car here and it already had an emission sticker on it. Then when i was in Iraq i got the $250 fine. Damn so there is noway of getting around this since the car has to get hooked up to the machine. This sucks.

Old law..they dont do the sniff test anymore. Anything w/o OBDII is now safety only (for the last 2 years I think). As long as it has lights, horn, good tires and brakes, that's all you need.
