Hey Kazu. You live in Mooresville? I'm right down the street in Cornelius. I have not found anything like the dragon near Charlotte as it is pretty flat around here. If you go west about 20 miles you can tear up some country roads though. I'm going to be back in town in two weeks and would love to spend a day looking for good drives. Let me know if you're interested. Plus I'd love to see your ride!

Hey guys...

I know we aren't too far from some foothills areas near Lincolnton between Gastonia and Hickory, but I am not sure exactly what roads to take. I have found myself on VERY twisty roads through there once before way back in college (back then I was mad about it because I was in a Ford Aerostar.... Yuck!)

I'll do some research... it may be a good excercise because maybe we can do a twisty Charlotte area meet one day.

While there are some decent country roads around charlotte, if you go about 150 miles to the west there are some great roads. I have a book that lists 12 of the best twisties in NC. This particular one is near the pisgah national forest.

Let me know, I would be interested in joining anything, even a country drive.

I was in the Greenville, SC area last weekend and went up to Ceasers' Head and Table Rock and found the Pickney Highway coming back from Table Rock . THere is a section of hairpins and such that was great fun with the company of two boxsters and an Audi. Also the passing lanes going up to Table Rock are fun except for the tourists looking at the pretty leaves this time of year....
