First off, we got side-tracked this morning, due to the fact that the Garmin crapped out on us...
So we found a Circuit City in Reno that gave us a prompt exchange and we were on the road again...

Think I may have found California's version of the Dragon... HWY 299 near Whiskeytown
Thats just a small portion of the run, over all, it was several hours of twistys from end to end...
We did manage to catch a good shot of Mt. Shasta in the distance...
Tomorrow's journey takes us up the Pacific Coast along HWY 101, and through the Redwood National Forest...

After spending a night at the KOA in Eureka, CA, we headed for the Redwood National Forest.
To get a better view of the Redwoods we decided to stop in Klamath, CA.
Now, that is a huge tree...
We took a ride up to the top to check out the view...

At 2AM this morning we finally arrived in Wenatchee, WA. We'll be staying here for a week or so before we are back on the road again to head back to NC...
299 was a 3rd and 4th gear dragon, most corners between 35 and 50, a few tight switchbacks... if you take all of 299, it's several hours of twistys, but the section in the pic is about 8 miles or so, and luckily was a clean run...

So it's more like hellbender I guess. Good to know if I ever make it over that way.
