How was "reasonable and prudent" in Montana?
"Reasonable and prudent" no longer exists in MT...it was only in effect from 1995 to 1999...very disappointing since 75 is now the speed limit...but I guess that is better than 55...

That was the only reason I would ever visit Montana. Montana is now COMPLETELY worthless.
Hey guys. Good timing to go on a walk-a-bout. We are having a hurricane. We are rescheduling the Raleigh Meet from the 6th to the 20th. I know it is a week after you get home but if you can make it out to share some stories it would be great. Check the Carolinas for the details.
Which Nuvi crapped out on you? Which model should I get? Not looking to spend a ton.. Just need basic functionality. Maybe $150-$250-ish preferably closer to $150
Is it possible to hardwire it? Maybe strip off the end of the DC adapter and wire it to a switched 12v source? I hate seeing wires.

S2Krazy2, to answer your question, it was the Garmin Nuvi 205W that died on us, and we've upgraded to the Garmin Nuvi 255W, which is working great (knock on wood)
If your looking for a GPS in the $150-250 range, I'd suggest a Tom Tom, they are made by Garmin, and have close to the same functionality. The main difference is that they don't have as many Points Of Interest loaded into the system.
I think that it would be pretty easy to make the wiring disappear, all you need is a 12v source, splicing the wires in somewhere would be easy, just make sure that you check the amperage needed for the unit and use an appropriate fuse...
