Default who here has a beater?

Anyone have a beater car for sale? Something they are just trying to get rid of that can run for 6 months to a year. My mom"s car was stolen last night. I need to replace it. I wish she had full coverage! ok thanks.

I wish I could help. That sucks. Makes you want to do something evil if you catch him.

Thanks columbo, but I'm looking for just something that will run right now until I can save some cash up for a decent used car.

nevermind. I just saw it. He's looking to spend no more than $1000. He didn't mention that earlier.

thanks for the help guys. they found the car yesterday. Some kids musta taken it for a joyride b/c it was found in a ditch. The tow truck company said it took 2 truks and a bobcat to dig it out. So they want 650 bucks to release the car. Let me repeat once more how much i hate predatory services. I HATE TOW TRUCK COMPANIES!!! They take advantage of people like my mom. they know full well they are ripping people a new one charging that much and it wasn't even her fault.

And if you say "well geez, dre, it costs the tow truck people money to tow", well then they could have called first and asked if we wanted it towed and for how much. now it will sit there collecting 20 bucks a day until we pay or after 30 days they file for ownership and can sell the car for much more. Who is the the real thief here?

Tow companies are HORRIBLE and "predatory services" is being nice. I have had a bad experience with them as well. They ended up saying I owed them an equal amount for a tow... they ended up with my car and they still gave me a bill!!!! It was just an old Honda, but still... How does that work!?
