Probably tried to stuff a dead hooker in the trunk and her 3 inch heals made a dent in the lid.

WARNING: These images may be offensive to some veiwers, veiwer discretion is adviced

The story: So, I live in apartment complex, so I don't have the convienence of a garage. Instead I park in the lonely section of the parking lot so morons don't hit my car (how ironic). I park with a lawn equipment trailer on one side and my g/fs car on the other (again so I avoid door dings). This method has been working for the past 6months.....this causes me to back out pretty far so I can avoid clipping the the trailer or my g/fs car...again this has been working for the past 6months. I usually back from my parking spot to the parking spots arcoss the lane.....99.9% of the time all these spots are empty......until today instead a Caddilac Escalade was parked right behind me and well......the pictures tell the rest........

Do not pick fights with Caddy escalades

His Damage.......

I of course did the right thing and notified the police right away. No tickets were given and I'm still alive. Although the owner had no idea what happened and didnt see the damage until shown....I'm still looking at a $1k bill at least! The caddy suffered minor scratches that could be buffed out, unfortunately it did crease the plastic ever so much. So a new bumper cover, paint and installation is in order.

And my insurance was just wiped clean from a speeding ticket 3 years ago

Life lesson - always back into parking spots, not out of them!

Sorry to hear about your trunk lid no chance of banging it back into shape?

nope, truck lid is totalled, but if this situation had to have occured, the best possible results happened. I'm lucky the only damage is a trunk lid and not the lid, lights and quarter panels.

It sucks you're on the hunt for a new trunk lid- but it'll be easy to come by, especially in Silverstone. You did the right thing though by telling the owner - having to pay 1000+ isn't that bad, and much better than having hitting the Escalade on your conscience were you not to have said anything.

G'luck!
