Would also consider 17 inch after market S2K wheels as a even swap as well.

Still workin on a wheel deal. But the wife isn't to crazy about the plus size wheels (worried about the ride getting rougher). So I'm probably gonna have to scrap that idea.

Is the ride really that much different between 17s and 18s?

*edit*

You rub with these wheels? What specs are they?

No difference in ride quality at all I dont think

The specs are 18x8 (225/40/18) F / 18x9 (255/35/18) R on Nitto Tires

On coilovers they dont rub at all but on my springs that are a 2 inch drop sometimes if I hit big dips in the road they can rub

realistically, it only makes sense that a larger wheel with a lower profile tire is going to offer a rougher ride. the difference between 16s and 17s is very noticeable. i can't speak for the difference between 17s and 18s as i've never had 18s on my car.

Tire sidewall stiffness is also a factor.

It surprises me how people will slap a loud exhaust on their S2000 but sidewall stiffness always comes up.

I had the same wheels with a very stiff sidewall and it was fine. I did highlight sharp bumps in the road but the grip and responsiveness was well worth it. These wheels with tires weigh almost the same as stock AP1 wheels and tire and less then AP2 wheels. Not bad for the 2 extra inches of width.

Good luck with the sale
