You don't have to touch your Linksys unless you host a tunnel. If you join someone's game, you don't have to do anything. I know because I did it behind Windows XP w/internet sharing & firewall running, and also with a Linksys at a friend's house. I didn't have to touch either of them until I wanted to host a game in gamespy. I jumped into several Halo and Tony Hawk games the first day

The hard part was running the 50ft cable until I get my wireless bridge (no nettap in living room)

50ft should be fine, I plug mine directly into a switch that has my internet sharing machine attached to it. I was doing this on my laptop before I got wireless and it worked fine. I need to hurry up and get a wireless bridge for the living room so I can plug a hub into that for my xbox and an mp3 computer later.

I like where this is going. I've got RR now and have DSL coming in a week or two and will be keeping both. Can't wait!

I've been playing through gamespy for the last 3 months it's great.... I finally decided to see if any other S2ki.com people played.

Post your Userid & Name so that I can play you.... and hopefully spank you.

Userid = Timmay
Name = Timothy Prati

A tip: It helps to host the games that way you never get lag unless you are on a T1 or T3..

If you are on a router and want to host... open up the following ports:
6500 (UDP) - For GameSpy Arcade
6700 (UDP) - For GameSpy Tunnel

If you don't know how to do it PM me and I will help you out.
