Default '67 Firebird... cherry

When I was a kid my friends Dad bought a '67 Firebird fully loaded, big engine. He treated that Bird like we treat our S's.

For years when I'd drive through the old neighbourhood and see that Firebird gleaming in the driveway. It was really gorgeous. I've often wondered how long he'd keep it.

Last night I got in contact with my friend after many many years (like 25 years!) with no contact. After we talked for a while I told him I'd wondered for years about the fate of the Bird... did his dad finally sell the Firebird?

"Wow!" he said. "Really funny you should ask. Yeah he sold it less than 6 months ago."

It was still cherry with 40K Miles. He got $15K... Canadian (like $11K US). OMG! I wish I'd known. It was soooo beautiful.

John-

You don't have time to be screwing around with antique cars. You're running for president. Get serious!

The first convertible I ever drove was a '69 Firebird my bro-in-law owned.

Geo is coming out with a Metro convertible. It's going to be a real stunner. It's going to be called the Geo Cabriolet Metro Dream Machine.

No, the dream part is watching it get flattened by a steamroller.
