when I buy fruits, I can only eat the citrus family on the even days. On odd days, I eat fruits with edible skins (apples, peaches). Melons are only consumed on days divisible by 3.
If I had coffee that day, then I cannot eat fruits with pits (so strawberries and apples are OK)

I do the newspaper and magazine thing. I don't give a shit about which way my money is or what it even looks like (some people don't like old paper $).
I usually count steps though......(rainman).....
and if possible, I never end a with 13 of anything.....like 13 reps when lifting, etc....
