She tested positive this morning. Which means I have it or am likely to get to it. She was at a women's group convention last weekend. 'm going to urgent care and get tested. This really messes up our work schedule. We were supposed to have a 50th anniversary lunch with my cousins tomorrow. Obviously that's out. We were going to Big Bear next weekend for a few days. That's out, too. We have to self isolate. Bummer.

 

RB do you have any symptoms? Don't you have a test kit at home? You may not even get it. Our youngest had it and his wife did not get it.

Everyone we know who's had have been about 2 weeks at the longest till a negative test. But then Nancy aka rat girl got it again, hence were still wearing our masks in certain places

 

Sorry to hear of this, but I know what you are going through. Chances are your symptoms will be mild and you will get through it safely with the current variants. Our son brought it home a few months earlier in the year, then myself and my wife contracted it as you really can't isolate in a small home.

I have to say isolating is the worst part of it. I had to stay home for 9 days until I no longer tested positive, which messed up my work and life schedule quite a bit.

You never know with this Covid sh*t what is going to happen George. Couple of weeks ago I got sick and tested negative and my dad was staying with me at the time and he tested positive and never had any symptoms. I hope Ann Marie feels good and you test negative.

 

Sorry to hear George. Has she gotten another test to confirm the results? There have been a lot of ‘false positives’ going around.

 

I've been extremely fatigued. No cough, sore throat, or fever. I was negative on a home test last night. Anne Marie tested positive this morning.

 

We're both going to be retested at urgent care in La Canada.

fatigue is a symptom most people seem to get. Our variant was associated with a sore throat, but recent variants may not have that association. I see more people getting Covid in the last couple months than the last 2 years, but very few that are very sick, none that I know actually. Everyone I've known has felt better within 5 days, the last 4-5 days of quarantine seem like more of a waste of time. Our government has recently said 5 days of quarantine and masking after 5 days.

 

Variation BA.5 is a real jerk.
