Anyone Have Piranha Fish....
Now that would be cruel
But the interesting thing is that they don't eat each other (that I know of at least). When one of mine would pass away, the others left it alone even during periods when they didn't eat.
What I recall, it was because they are inherently wary of each other. That's also why they swim either parallel or perpendicular to each other, so they always know where the other piranha are located.
Then again, that's probably normal for fish that school or swim in a pack.

We actually have a good informational DVD about piranhas. They don't school, they tolerate each other. They are actually scavengers. They usually only eat wounded or dead animals and only eat other things when hungry.
Eat each other?!?
We won't let it go like that. We should actually get some good money from a pet store. Piranhas don't live well with others unless they were raised together. All of ours are bros and sis.
