Interesting, I thought only children were quite smothered and oppressed by their parents. How the heck did you get away with it, Robbie?

Time outs are great for little kids. You're deluding yourself if you think it works past a 5 year old.

My brother's ex-wife used the time out on their 4-5 year old... she'd send him to his room for a time out. Since he had countless toys and a TV in his room, I didn't see how it was really punishment, though.
