Should I get a core2 powermac or wait for the quad? I know we've covered this, but I have until the 31st to decide.

Get the most computer you can within your budget. That said, the obsolescence speed of Macs are slower due to better software.

If you're waiting until the 31st, chances are good you should probably just buy the damn thing now to write it off against your private practice. Please consult your tax professional regarding this opportunity.

Yeah. . . but these guys tend to go for the jugular, where Zappa, by comparison, is pithy.

BTW Gary, have I thrown you a copy of "The Real Frank Zappa Book" by Frank Zappa?
I have a copy in my library...

Excellent. I buy 3-4 copies a year, and give them out.

I really cannot endorse a disk drive. I'm in an odd position where it might be a bad idea to do that.

That said, I'd try either Seagate or Hitachi.
that somehow doesn't surprise me I think I'll end with a seagate...despite not getting any sort of discount on them

You no like WD?
I actually have a 500gb WD mybook studio on my desk right now. Problem being, when connected to my base station, it causes the base station not to work...in a variety of ways, depending on what order things are plugged in/powered on. After a bit of reading around, seems the only "work around" is revert to an older firmware on my base station. So for an external, I'll pass on WD.

Simply put, .

However, now that I'm thinking about it, Oracle Trunkie should probably make some predictions for each of the s.

For you sir, you will find yourself sitting on the train next to a tranny.
