Lame, but if thats the best you can muster....
UnkieT,
$100-ish budget. Usually we'd go to Millennium (in SF) but I kind of want to do something different. It's for our 3 year anniversary. And it needs to have a decent vegetarian selection (a vegetarian/vegan restaurant would be even better).
Ideas?

That said. . . shit. . . I don't have my Zagat guide with me in my office anymore.
$100 for two - I'd go with the Chez Panisse Cafe in Berkeley. You should be able to get out of there for around that cost.
Plenty of veggie and vegan choices. . . and it's Berkeley, so they're happy to whip something custom up for you.
While I've not been there, it comes HIGHLY regarded over many years.
Chez Panisse's main restaurant was the shiz 10 years ago, now, it holds its own amongst some other esteemed company.
Off the record, ditch her and spend $200 at Manresa or Marinus. . .
Thanks!!
I will definitely check out Chez Panisse Cafe
TBH, I kind of make fun of Millenium for their over exaggeration of being organic. I distinctly remember the first time we went there, they said "would you like a glass of filtered tap?" WTF! It's water! And I highly doubt filtered at that!
Anyways, we go there about twice a year, so it's nothing new. If you ever go, try the in-house made Habanero infused Vodka. It's fucking wicked
If you have any others that come up shoot'em my way. I've got 10 days
