Unkie, what is a good price point to spend for a total beginner mountain bike that would be ridden maybe 3 times a year. Girls model and guys model suggestions welcomed.

It's not necessarily homo. Getting it on with your new (male) biking partner on the AIDS ride is homo. . .

I will say this though, it has been my observation over the years that you try to wear your "tribe" as often as possible. For all of INTJ's goofiness, it suits him and his riding well.

If you have a LIVESTRONG jersey, you're taking a pretty safe bet. Shimano is kind of the same way.

. . . if you're going to wear an Astana jersey, you've go some world-class cojones.

Here's more my speed.
THAT IS FUCKING AMAZING!!

I was actually thinking about getting a beer jersey but wouldn't know where to look. I am passing the shimano/livestrong for a beer jersey. No joke.

As I was looking for starter road bikes, almost all the companies I looked at (Felt, Specialized, Trek, and Fuji) all had Mountain Bike offerings.

A dedicated mountain bike, not simply a trail or exercise bike, started just north of $500.

There were no gender differences that I could tell - there again, I wasn't looking.

INTJ has mentioned he rides downhill mountain bikes. . . you may want to consult with him.

Double meaning jersey FTW

It's either that, or Fat Tire. But I feel Fat Tire isn't micro-brew-enough

I kind of feel like he has as many fans as he does people who hate him. Much like a lot of successful sports people/teams

I found a sweet ass jersey on bonktown.com . It's swobo, but bad ass. Is it a faux pas to have a bike brand jersey of a bike I'm not riding?

It just makes you more mysterious. Hell, bonus points if a chick asks what the hell you're up to.
