Unkie I just switched from iPhone to Droid. Now that I no longer have iMessage, I installed What's App to keep in touch with my 'murican friends. HowEVER it's really confusing. When I first installed it there was a list of people that have What's App. But since I've been using it to message, I can't seem to navigate within the app. When I go into it I can only create a message, not go back into previous messages, or my What's App contact list. If I hit the 'back' button, it just takes me to my list of text messages.

 

I don't know the App, BUT what I do know based on stuff with similar apps, is that it will not fetch old messages if the app is closed/killed/offline. You have to leave it up and running in the background, and let it build up a cache of message over time.

. . . Also, and what few people will not tell you: not all apps work the same across all OSes or even versions of OSes.

 

I hope she figures this out soon
