I am facing a dilema. I am wondering wether to get out of the military. I have one (1) month left.
Not to sure how the job market search is going right now. I did look about six months ago. I got a lot of "we are on a hiring freeze"...

I have a pretty good resume for becoming a law enforcement officer. CA. is out, I lived there for 25 years of my life and there is nothing really back there family wise.

My base back home is in a up roar and I am not getting any decent clarification on anything.

I am leaning to stay in the military due to the economy.

Any suggestions?

Understand that Unkie Trunkie is not an economist, but he sometimes plays one on the interwebz.

The dreaded "double dip" is probably not going to happen in the full-bore manner some folks were talking about. However, I do think the trailing behaviors of The Great Recession are not fully shaken out. There are still a bunch of public service cuts in store (here in CA, but also much of the country) for another year. Layoffs are down, from what I can see, but the budget freezes are still in play.

I would wait another year, then reassess.

 

Without going to Wikipedia to double check, if I remember correctly, it's due to the clotting agents the mosquito injects into you after the bite.
