Without going to Wikipedia to double check, if I remember correctly, it's due to the clotting agents the mosquito injects into you after the bite.
Wikipedia! Feels like Toto just pulled the curtain back on the great and all knowing Wizard

I would wait another year, then reassess.
Sound advice.
Just one problem, the Air Force does not allow one year enlistments. Min 4 years.

Looks like I have to take the gaurantee of the current "job" I have now.

May as well finish out my 20. If the world does not end in 2012 or something....

Your retirement was the next stage of information I'd have wanted to know. . .

Indeed, finish your 20. It's a good retirement income in times when the concept of a pension/assured retirement is becoming a rare commodity.

I have a co-worker who put in his 20 from being a Ranger-Intel. . . he's not complaining about the pay of his "second career."

I am half way ther, 11 years. So at one point I was trying to move on.

Don't get me wrong, I am very proud and enjoy what I do. I do get those few days when I have had about enough.

Right now I am looking at several military options. I am trying to get back into joint operations. I just got stuck at Kirtland. The furthest you can get from what you hear on the news of what military life is.

I am on the look out and working what connections I have, or thought I had.

You should have gone to Wiki or somewhere DoucheMcGoo.

They're not clotting agents - they're anticoagulants. Well that and whatever other nastiness the individual bug manages to acquire during it's lifetime which is thankfully quite short. I'm not quite sure why they're here unless it's to thin the gene pool. Even that's indiscriminate. I hate them.

Oracle my ass.

That must be uncomfortable. There's barely enough room for him outside your ass.

Come to think of it - it's probably uncomfortable for him as well.

Cackmagnet.

I am to understand that he is in Tibet, but is not a monk. Rather, he's impersonating an ottoman in the Chinese General Consul's office.
