I think a water softener for the whole house wouldn't be a bad idea at all. It might also help if you have any issues with copper/calcium/lime in the water causing plumbing problems. 
Past that, between Annie, the truck, the RV, you might make a good washing system worth your $$, but water softening for the whole house isn't bad at all.

wasn't cheap but will be worth being able to
not only Annie butt the Mini as well and not have the Hard Water Spots to deal with 
I love washing the car myself and honestly short of a detail some later time in the future Annie will never go to a car wash.
We tried it out and it worked GREAT! C-6 checked the level of CRAP in the water & got 180 vs thru the dirinse having 0
As for the whole house water softener well maybe someday
