Pretty hazy this morning. Not sure how much of it is the marine layer vs smoke from the fire, but I can't see shit out of the office looking north.

Wack's In-Laws had to evacuate from Wrightwood but he said the venue that his wedding was held is still there so far. I hope it doesn't head that direction!
I think we'll be OK. Big Bear is pretty far east of the fire. I think the smoke is going out into the high desert.

Well I'm not sure if your usual route is the 210 to the 18 up butt if so your gonna wanna consider passing 18 & taking either the 330 or 38 …. we had to go back to exchange something in Rancho today and the LINE of cars needing to take 18 since since 15 is closed was still lonnnnnnng

Drove from Rialto area out to where the 15 closure is and shot a few more 's of the SCARY SMOKE & FIRE

Its real bad still no containment at all yet

Fog burned off, smoke blew away... Fire (well, the smoke) looks significantly worse than yesterday.

WE take the 330 from the 210 at Highland to the 18 at Running Springs to Big Bear and the 38 back down to Redlands.

I just spoke with the CHP in San Bernardino. The 18 is the route people are taking with the 15 closed. There is a lot more traffic on the 18 between Running Springs and Big Bear. They've been getting calls about it all day long. We can go up the 38 from Redlands like you guys do, Mom. The 18 wraps around the north shore of the lake from east of the Convention Center to the dam, but traffic in town still could still be heavy. Also, I'm worried about the air quality. The Big Bear fire chief posted today on the FD website that you can see the smoke from the Blue Cut Fire from Big Bear. The fire has burned 30,000 acres, is growing fast, and is 0% contained. We'll have to decide by Friday night, but right now it's looking pretty iffy.

Yeah it was changing a ton just in the short time we were close to day. Saw many many fire planes though from SB
& a Water Bucket Helicopter flew over us

I also talked to the Sheriff's office up there. Traffic in Big Bear is a real mess right now. The air quality is good.
