Yeah, Estes Park is one of my favorites, we went there a lot when I was younger camping with my parents. I like that it hasn't changed much over the years.

Not sure when we'll be back as of yet, but I'll add the tour to the list for sure

that your taking your offspring to places you went as a child
very similar case is that C-6 went many years to The Tetons from living in Nebraska as a child... his Dad was an avid reman and they fly fished the Snake always.

We've done that trip from WA when mine were youngIns and later too... lastly last Summer with his Sis & family

My now Denver is a distance Mt type runner and he showed us many places Mt's he's done in that Estes park area.
Those Elk are saw some up close on that bordering Golf Corse and one Male Charged over to the Ladies that were there with him for the people that were on the path right there luckily he stopped when next to the ladies resting :whew:

Yeah, luckily our kids enjoy camping and seeing all the national parks and stuff. We grew up in Houston so venturing west to the mountains to cool off was what we did.

We saw elk sitting out front of a hotel just down from the KOA in Estes when we were there, we thought it was cool but knew to stay in the car. There was a group of people walking up to them as we passed by, so hopefully someone yelled to them to not do it. People can be stupid at times and not realize the animals are wild.

Oh, the Tetons are badass, we've done yellowstone 3 times in recent years and driving from Jackson Hole to the park never got boring.

I didn't look at the time stamp, but yeah that's pretty clever.

Not planned however.
