IMHO Timmies has gone downhill in the past dozen years. Donuts used to be bigger and tastier. They used to be cooked in the store... now a lot get make in a big factory bakery and trucked in daily.
Coffee is still good though.

Don't drink coffee of any kind, but the Iced Capp is a staple for, well, the majority of the Canuck population.
It seems to be pretty popular, maybe because it's more accessible and cheaper than Starbucks?
Really, Tim Hortons is more than just something similar to Dunkin' Donuts - it's practically a national symbol (even though it was bought out by an American company
). They are hugely successful.

I usually have at least one of their coffees when I get back to Canada.

I know ex-pat Canadians who make a bee-line to a Tim's as soon as they get on Canadian soil; whether an airport or by car.

You should go to the website of the parent company (whoever owns Wendy's) and look up US locations. I don't know if there are any out your way, but I know there are some in the Columbus area (HQ), and in a few other states too.
