When you partition the drive, you can not (edited, I was typing without thinking earlier) run both instances simultaneously. It's not a huge deal, but it comes in handy for development purposes, sometimes.

 

I'm more excited about Time Machine, and more scared about ILM issues therein.

Virtualization is the rage. Having fun with it at work. By "fun" I mean something other than fun.

 

I've fixed my original post. Sorry, with multiple partitions, you can't run the operating systems simultaneously. With virtual machines, you're running an OS (or multiple OSes) within an OS, so you're effectively running multiple computers simultaneously on one set of hardware.
