It's a great freakin' steak. . . almost makes up for the fact you're in Tampa.

Nice looking steak. I think we'll drop by for dinner when we go to the St. Petersburg IndyCar GP next year.

You'll have a great time; but I suggest getting your reservations in as soon as possible, and mind the dress code.
They had left a rib roast in the back of the dry-age room a bit too long, so when I was there, I had a 90-day ribeye. More importantly though, Bern's is the largest private collection of wine in North America - just the by-the-glass list made me cry; I finished the night with a 1975 BV Zin. . . for $9. Why $9? Because Ol' Man Bern bought California wine before anybody else did, so they just had a case leftover. Still great.

I think it was mandatory jacket for the gents. Perhaps jacket and tie. I do remember being underdressed for the dining room in a collared shirt and slacks; I had to eat in the bar (perfectly fine by me).
I only caught discussions of the 500, not that you were considering going. I did years ago before I started dating Joy; it was a drunken mess of a good time. I think there was a race too. . .
BTW, we're not really going to St. Pete next year, but we're seriously considering the Indianapolis 500. You may have heard me talking to Leslie about it at Gina and Skip's BBQ.
