Pay more, get less. I was baffled why the referendum voted for GST in the first place, given that it raised taxes across the board and my medical went into the toilet.

But this seems like more of the same thing:
In total, about 83 per cent of products and services purchased by consumers will see no new tax. Only 17 per cent will see a new tax, things like personal and professional services such as hairstyling and legal fees, as well as energy costs including home heating fuel and electricity.

So now things like energy and health care will cost more and be less beneficial? Who the heck thought that was a good idea?

But..using Can Gov logic, its only 17% of the products, but 80% of the consumer expenses. They are certain to buy that, just like they did last time.

I learned macro and micro economics in HS in lesser canuckistan, sadly they must have cut that program.
