Dubya says he is concerned about America's addiction to oil. That is probably the single biggest crock of shit ever foisted upon human civilizaton.

I'm not sure what you're saying, George. We aren't addicted to oil? It sure seems like we are. The reason, of course, stems deep into American policy in the middle east... Gov't keeps the price low, and there's no incentive not to burn the stuff.
The President cracks me up... If we actually did have a capitalist market for oil, things would be very different here.
I really shouldn't get started on our government's foreign policies... The good news for Mr. Bush is that he didn't create this problem. Our country really needs to learn how to play fair with other countries. We set a terrible example. I guess I'll leave it at that.

No, Charlie, what I'm saying is that his sudden concerned about it is a crock. Big oil would be perfectly happy enjoying obscene record profits while driving us into a recession. Bush would do absolutely nothing to disturb that. Sort of like opposing the Kyoto Protocol because anything that reduces greenhouse gas emissions while affecting corporate profits in any way is inherently bad.
