All I have to say is that Mastercard seems to engage in shady dealings... especially in the UK.

Yeah, I don't doubt if our sales guys skim their commissions out early.

Yes & no.

It was at one time-but since all CC processors require the CCV2 code & address verification now, we had to update the software (ICVERIFY). We're now running on a secure DSL line & its quicker and cheaper for me to get the AUTH directly thru ICVERIFY, rather than thru the POS. Our POS vendor charges us a min of $75 per month to use the CC software/and a .10cent charge for each CC transaction ( ) so I disconnected the links for the 2 systems to work. I AUTH the CC & manually enter the AUTH code. The only fees we have now are the % that MC/VISA/AMEX/NOVUS charges us (which is now even lower because we ask for the CCV2 code from the CC user.

The CC software also stores all our customers CC data (all except the CCV2 code-which I store on the customers profile) so I can search by last name/first name or by the CC number)
So you bypass all the hands in the cookie jar? I need a phone call to you! Are you manually entering numbers via a secure site, and cv22 codes? or swiping or Java? I like the allure of having the 2 second "Big box" approval but adding more hands into the pot scares me!

The cross-market possibilities of Digital Storage Solutions and corrugated fireplaces are fairly minimal. . .but I'll keep you in mind.
