Default ATTN: Wickster - TODA ITB!

OMG!

TODA finally offers an ITB setup specifically for the S2000!!!

Also, they now make adustable cam gears, valve springs, high compression pistons, a 2.2-liter stroker, and a sports clutch!

The ITB's price is still TBA, but I've already emailed TODA for a price quote! Oh man oh man oh man!!!

well, when you need more air and more fuel (to accommodate high tune, esp. for all-motor engines), an intake setup like this will provide. there are four individual throttle bodies, versus a single unit in the stock setup.

also, with individual butterfiles/venturi stacks, you can maximize air velocity as it enters the combustion chamber, increasing volumetric efficiency. with the stock setup, air comes in at one end of the intake manifold, and eventually finds its way into one of the four cylinders - hit and miss.

and another benefit is that with the individual butterflies, you can fine-tune the shape to create some backpressure. it's basically a supercharging effect, kind of like acura's 2-stage intake manifold in the TL-S.

but most of all, the ITB setup is for high rpm, high compression, high tune engines. (this is why superbikes all use ITB setups, whether it be EFI or carburetion)

It bols straight to the intake side of the cylinder heads. It replaces the entire intake manifold and TB/MAF assembly.

In this pic, it's the cast aluminum piece to the right of the engine, which is fed by the black plastic pipe from the airbox, and leads into the engine itself via those four intake runners.

Well, anywhere from 30-50rwhp, depending on what other parts it's used in conjunction with.

this is not a bolt on though, it will require PLENTY of tuning with a tunable computer (read: replacing your stock ECU with a AEM EMS or the like, VAFC will not work)

yes, i saw this a couple weeks ago actually when it was still rumour. I cannot wait for this sweet piece. Did you see their stroker kit?? I'm wondering if this nickel-chromoly setup can stand 9k rpm. God that would be sweet. I'd bet the stroker and ITB, and a head port with tuning you could crack 350 whp  :wikes:

me want me need.

If I had a first born, I'd sell it for this!
