So I guess this was bound to happen sooner or later given my age...
So I was heading home from a friends tonight around 12:45am on Bothell-Everett highway (5 lane road, 45mph speed limit) and was in the left lane going about 47mph. As I pass a little strip mall, I see a light colored econobox start to pull out to make a left hand turn (towards me). I think that this car has no where near enough room or speed to do it...they thought otherwise . Long of the short, they end up back in the right hand lane with car half in the turn lane and half in the right lane. Again the short of the long, my car took the hit VERY well, and the driver side wheel on the corolla must've been a good 3-5" in from where it should've been. Luckily everyone was fine (a little soar here and there. After waiting what seemed like hours for state patrol, they show up and start taking reports n such. It turns out both the owner (passenger) and driver are UNINSURED aaannnd the driver was aressted about 10min later for DUI . At any rate, I'm doin OK (still pretty twitchy though ) and getting the car fixed/replaced shouldn't be too bad. Also, the other driver was at fault, so my good driving record remains
both my headlights work fine and the car runs perfect
oh, and mad propz to my momz and the Washington State Patrol

Sorry to hear that ... glad that you and your passengers are fine though
And at least the other driver is going to get what is coming to him I have no sympathy for drink drivers

Sorry to hear, Collin. Like everyone else said, at least everyone's OK, and the damage doesn't look *too* bad...

That sucks Collin, I know you took really good care of that Lexus. Seems like every week it got a coat of NXT. Good luck, glad to hear it's not your fault and most importantly you were not hurt.
