It's all about work right now. I'm probably going to leave my company after 14 years. I'm still somewhat in shock that I've made this decision, and I'm not sleeping well.

Right now is a good time to rely on the married home life for support. It's one of the real advantages, among a sea of questionable others.

I've hit a ceiling at my place, and I'm just not seeing my way clear of it. My management isn't willing to invest in some blue-sky stuff that I want to do. I don't see eye-to-eye with my direct superior... I guess it's a combination of things.

It's really tough to consider moving after being such a "loyal" employee for soooooooo long.

 

I'm surprised they wouldn't be more willing to work with you, particularly given that loyalty.

Do you have any immediate plans for relocation, or just a general plan of leaving?
