I've been told by some that I would be a good father...but I'm content to make it through life without finding out. While I'm sure there are wonderous things (actually, I know there are...I've actually experienced many with my friends' kids), I just don't have the "drive" to have children.

That said, I'm not so anti-kids that I would object if I got married and she wanted a child. More than one...I'd likely balk.

Brant,

You need kids if you're going to be elected president.

(you can borrow mine, if you like)

I said that for years, Billy boy...

Seriously, you must be on the same page as your SO on this subject. No relationship can last (except maybe fcuk buddies) unless you agree.

Despite my bravado on this subject, I honesly do question my decision to become a dad from time to time. It is not an easy road, and my life is completely different than it once was. But then, there are wondrous things about being a dad that I'm growing to really love.
Sheesh all you old married folk certainly arent a ringing endorsement for me right now all my friends bitch about having kids as well.....

Mikey, my dear, don't make me say "I told you so."

(not that you asked)

I don't need kids to be President...I just need enough history to cause a potential scandal and a dog. The public eats up this whole pet thing...
