Anne Marie and my deepest condolences, Brant. I was privileged to hear his speech before the 04 Democratic convention. RIP, John.

I've been remiss in keeping up with this thread. Thank you all for your kind words and support. I know dad passed away a while ago now, but this Friday is his funeral service with honors at Arlington National Cemetery. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I'm looking forward to having him close to me for those days when I really need to go sit with him and talk.

I'm going to miss him.

Sorry again buddy. I hope this Friday will help with closure for you and your family. My thoughts and prayers will be with you guys.

When my uncle was buried earlier this year, even with just a local military group doing the gun salute and all was still really touching. I can only imagine what it will be like sending your Dad out with full honors of the US Military
