Brant-
When my dad, a WW2 vet, passed away, I was given the flag that was on his casket after his funeral service. I hang it in front of our garage door every Flag Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and, this year, 9/11. I think I also hung it the day of our big 04 Angeles Crest run and BBQ at our house. It always brings back memories of my dad.

When my uncle was buried the actual speech that the gentleman from the Military said to my aunt, when he gave her the flag was so touching. To know that "in essence" you have the thought of the US Military grieving with you was a real touching moment. It brought me to tears. I know it will be really touching with being at Arlington Cemetary and having pretty much the scope of the US Military behind you and the family as you grieve the loss of your Dad. We'll be feeling for you buddy
Thanks again, everyone. The funeral on the 7th was beautiful! Couldn't have asked for a better day to honor my father.
Now it's time to get back to the work of continuing (or starting to?) make him proud.
