Default Can Someone Lend Me Some Flashlights and Some Candles?

Came home from work only to realize my place has NO electricity due to the heavy winds and rain. Of course, my friend who lives 2 minutes away has no problems whatsoever.. This is crap....
Now I'm here hoping power will go back on at my place...
Good thing he has a nice big house..otherwise, I'd be fxcked....
Good night guys.... Power outages suck...

After sleeping on the floor at my friend's place, I'm finally home now..
I have power!! woohoo... feel bad for my other friends though...they have no power. I wish work had no power, but of course, I can't be that lucky

it sucks.

Back in '96 in Raliegh NC, the hurricane came through (I forget the name) and the wind blew so hard the rain was passing through the weather stripping of the windows and actually the water was travelling UP the window sill into the house The ground was soooo wet the trees fell down and you didn't even hear them hit. It was insane.

eventually I just went to sleep. The next day our power was out. Only two days at the house, but some place were out for over a week or more......

Is this proof that if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it (and the ground is REALLY wet) it doesn't make a noise ??

If the ground was really wet, wouldn't it splash?

no, it didn't fall into water. imagine the ground as a giant sponge.
