Can you feel the love?
Brant.. the "non-owner" thing is pretty much a loser thing. If you read again you won't find the Corner dwellers posting those comment.
I do come here because there are other owners. I come back because there are good people here.

Yeah, I know it's not the Corner dwellers that typically post that nonesense. Still frustrates me, because I'm one of the more involved people with our local S2000 group here in the Seattle area...
Oh, I'm not going anywhere. I just needed to vent some steam after reading that thread last night.
Besides, I'm not giving those idiots the satisfaction of kicking me out...because I PAID to be here!!!

Brant,
I don't think they were targetting you, but rather people who do not have any interest in the S2000s or for that matter any car at all.
I'm not defending their actions, since I personally don't see why someone shouldn't be allowed post here just because they aren't interested in cars, but I thought I'd just mention that even the worst of them probably wouldn't have anything against you just because you don't own an S2000.
I've met Sondra on two occasions (once in an S2000 meet when I was sent to Austin, TX for training, and again when we went to Japan) and she seemed helpful enough (and she knew at the time that I did not have an S2000, just interested).

I know that specific thread didn't target me in particular, and I've never actually been singled out because I tend to keep my PWing to the Corner or the regional forums where its more like friends getting together.
However, it's the trend that I've seen lately that I find troubling, because it's one that people have been bringing up more lately...and in many cases MUCH less politely and eloquently than Sondra did.
I don't actually have an issue with what Sondra said for the most part. If we're going to PW I think it's great that we have the Corner to play around in when we just want to be silly or funny or whatever without overtaking all the legitimately substantive threads out there. Being able to goof off here makes it much easier for us to be helpful and "serious" when we go "out there" to read such posts.
My issue is several of the people around this site that feel that because they actually purchased the car that they somehow have more of a right to access this ENTIRE SITE (Corner included) than someone in my shoes.
Anyway, I was wound up about that yesterday...got bigger stuff to deal with today...

Like the guys who are all worried that...now that S2000's are entering the used market at lower prices "young'ns" will start buying them and "ruining them"...
They better not come to...
They better not come to...
