Gets easier as you go along. I remember my first time out of the hospital bed and at P/T it was a sonofabitch think I even passed out but after that it got easier and easier.

Thanks, Mom, I'm getting there. I have a telephone appointment with my orthopedic surgeon on Tuesday, 5/5. Hopefully, he'll tell me I can start walking without the boot, maybe with a cane and help from my physical therapist to start. Right now I'm sitting at my computer looking at the neon Corvette sign. I've gotten so much enjoyment out of that sign. Hopefully, I can start driving soon. I shouldn't tell you this, but in the first week after the surgery, I drove Big Red twice. Not too smart. I had to brake with my big toe. Every couple of weeks our next door neighbor, Joe, takes Big Red for aa spin around the block. I don't want to end up with tires with flat spots. Those tires are almost new and cost a lot of money.

I'm sure Dave has some interest in this matter, too.

You'll get there just keep doin what the Doc says!

Yeah def not smart taking the car out but glad you didn't get into an accident.
We start all of our cars once a week, not driving them just running them for awhile.

Look forward to backing Annie out someday
Stay safe!

Yeah, Brian, I'm surprised he hasn't chimed in by now.

Actually, it was in the second week after the surgery, I drove Big Red twice. After the first week, my surgeon switched me from a splint to a cast (bright red). I worked the gas pedal with the cast and the brake pedal with my big toe One of the dumbest things I've ever done.
