About my clutch...I'm intrigued by the "hash" marks on the disk. I need to read ACT's website and learn more about why those marks are on the disk...

I'd like to give you an answer to that, but I can't, I'm stumped, that's why I have to use mechanics.

I intend to do the clutch install myself. Wouldn't be the first time I've tackled a tough job on my own car. Rumor is I might have access to a lift so I wouldn't have to do the whole thing laying on my back under a car on jack stands. Good thing since best case it'll be about a 6 hour job...

ACT's site didn't have much on the hash marks...I'll check around elsewhere...

With luck, this'll be the last clutch I ever need for Guinness. On the plus side, it's supposedly capable of handling roughly double the torque of the stock Miata...maybe a hair more...and pedal pressure is estimated to only be about 50% more, so it should be no problem for daily driving!

I'm so excited!!

You should get one, mom, it'd match your car!

I'm planning on a Toda flywheel and a SPEC stage 2 or 3 clutch (2 is Kevlar disc, and 3 is a carbon 4-puck), and a lightweight SPEC pressure plate.

thanks for asking, I'm very excited about it.....
