Corner Chicks V.8
Man...this country just doesn't like Canadians!
I can't get over how expensive school is either Cher...it better lead to a high paying job in your field!! Do you have any idea how salaries here compare to at home?
Lori - where is your hubby from? I got my greencard (*now known as a Permanent Resident card) afterwards, interviews were easy and not in depth, it was more about how much documentation you provided as proof of your relationship and ties to the US and your community, etc.
Definitely not like the movie Greencard where they were asked who slept on what side of the bed and the colour of their toothbrushes

If I were to get the exact same job as I had in Canada, I'm looking at about a $15k pay cut. Other kinds of jobs I'm qualified for, I'm looking at closer to $20-25k cut.
And many of them "prefer" you have a masters.
You do NOT need a masters to do my job...unless masters programs in the US suck...
at that pic from your birthday. I think that was the one that did me in!
