it's a typical issue here actually. we lost a single filesystem, no biggie.

Might as well learn something today

When you say drives, you're talking about virtual drives or physical ones? Is that similar to mapping a network drive in windows, but of course more complex?

how are the hard drives in your servers connected? IDE, SATA, SCSI?
