Got my tatoo at 18
I thought it would help me find myself.....it's wierd, in college, I felt the need to find a group to fit in whereas in High school, the entire school was my group. I felt by putting something that showed my proud heritage on my body, I would be able to "fit in" more. Now I still love it, but it means something different to me. I think I'll probably get more later, but for now I'm good with this one....translates to "fierce". I guess at the time I was a pretty angry person too, and felt that I had a lot to prove to everyone.
