If I'm gonna haul cargo and troops I'd rather it be in the Chinook. It's a more capable aircraft. Besides...if I don't get #1 or #2 then I probably won't stay in the Army as long...and back home Columbia helicopters flys the dual rotor system.

Another consideration is the personality types...I have disliked most of the blackhawk pilots I have met. The Chinook pilots I've met have all been way laid back and cool.

Very slim! If I get apaches I pretty much exclude myself from ever going SOAR. We have to get a general to release us...where a blackhawk guy just gets transfered.

Good points. I just figured the Blackhawk is a bit cooler bird, and the use profile of it would put you closer to the action.

Not really...the Chinook takes troops into battle too. In fact the Chinook is seeing a lot of use in Afghanistan because it can handle the higher altitudes in the mountains...plus it's load is way higher.
