Awesome! Plus the VMOM.

So, it turns out that the whole job came in at $750, which is about 1/2 of what I expected. Credit my son's family-owned service garage! I also have a new set of four Stoptech brakes and rotors on their way.

Nothing's changed with my thinking, though. I do know what's coming. The questions is... do I just wait until it happens.

I'm going to get ragged unmercifully for this question, Charlie, but have you considered going in the other direction and getting a Vette? I did. I would have gotten a new S2000 if Honda still made them. I thought about a 370Z vert. I can't tell you how much pleasure my C7 Vette had given me in almost 3 1/2 years. I had no idea.

I think its the last year for the 370Z. I drove one a few years ago, not impressed. I'd look at the Miata or Alfa, and possibly a 2007-08-09 S2000 if you don't want American.

Hey, Dave. And, I was never much for the Z styling. Never drove one though. And, if it's going out of production, well, that's kind of an issue, I think.

I see a few 370Z Nismos around here. . . but I think that's speed + price>everything else. I'd go Miata or 124 Abarth myself if I were in your shoes.

. . . but if I were in your shoes, I'd probably make sure I had piston AND rotary versions of my favorite instruments.

I've played rotary trumpets (for Mahler) before, but never owned one. Pistons def. work better (I think) than rotor valves on a trumpet, just like vice versa is true on the french horn, don't you think? I think I've actually played a horn with pistons once or twice, but I suck on it anyway. Now, a rotary tuba.... that's fun!

Blargh! I know that rotary tubas make more sense, but my favorite Tuba is the Getzen/Canadian Brass CC. Almost as nimble as my French Horn. . .

OH! You could wait a hot minute for Supra/M4 coming soon. . .
