lettuce or potato peels down your garbage disposal esp if you have plastic pipes I just had to fix it AGAIN It clogs up and gets caught in der and wont go through!

i avoid the lettuce "backup" by trying to keep cooking to a minimum

 

good for you for cleaning your own drain!

here is a thought....

garbage disposals are evil. they promote pest infestation. food scraps belong in the garbage can or compost not down the drain. IMHO

 

and cooking for one is still a PITA...


on a side note.. nanc...what the freak time is it out there?

 

Don't use the garbage disposal make a compost pile instead.
