BEAUTIFUL your house its SO traditional I forget were the Shutters Black when it was blue?
Thanks, G and Jeff. Yeah, "real" shutters too! They were black when the house was blue. That was almost 10 years ago, but we re-did the roof a couple of years ago, and that combination didn't work so well anymore, plus the paint was dead. In any case, we're thrilled with the new paint job. It's like living in a new house!

They're colored to look like cedar shakes, G, but they're architectural, asphalt shingles. We have a strip of copper running the length of the peak of the roof on all three structures now (to prevent mold, moss, etc.). This roof will likely outlast me and the FP.

The pool house is the same, by the way, even though that's not shown. Of course, there ain't no pool anymore.

Let me see a pic of your MomCave!

I remember the pool / art house it was

They look great & yeah more fire retardant. I LOVE True Shake but when I wanted to use that on my MomCave I couldn't easily find any here due to the yeah heat , Fire danger. They use Tile here. I used the asphalt but in a roll not shingle so just layerd it overlapped on the small roof. I was obsessed w/ putting a Cupola up there and did ( me up there screwing it down ) C-6 said he didn't trust him up there

This was a FUN project! Many :beep: words & approximately 2 -3 weeks later it was complete. Well its NEVER actually complete the vintage / picker that I am I always find some piece of crap to add to it

I'll show ya 's tomorrow,

ONe of my faVeS is when Eeyore aka BB aka Jeff had his silly rubber Horse Head on and we stuck him coming behind the split entry door bottom ( MR. ED )

sowwy 4 the mouth Goin off

K Joe here ya go> So I"ll tell ya that it was IN the plan to have another lil Garden / Shed / Green House / Pool Bar House since I had one I've always had some lil structure out in my garden. Last house it was built for me by an ol hippie DUDE I found by luck via a Nursery. He built most the frame then finished it in our yard. I'll dig up a photo of that one later.

I planned ahead so I let the Concrete DUDE poor me a slab and most important put DRAIN in where I'd place a sink!

C-6 and I decided to do this ourselves. butt went 4 it, I would look at the lil sheds at Home Depot etc Shed World and get ideas. We did a simple style but I tweaked it w/ a few vintage windows.

Found this one > a retro from the era of Garden Windows it was at the Habitat Re-Store which rocks for finding treasures of all kinds got that thing for $75.00 sucka weighed a TON though so had to enlist the then LA to help us lift it into place

My shutters are the plastic ones butt they worked the counter outside works in conjunction w/ one I put INSIDE and the window is a pass thru for food or drink or what eva.

I rigged up some fun ing in there so its really illuminated @ night.

Behind it was just dirt and I decided to create a lil hide out so I pulled wire from the last Grape Pole over to the roof to train the grapes to make a canopy
Then I cleaned up the ground , put down DG aka Decomposed Granite and placed a few pavers then put a bench I built back there.

NOW the grapes have completely covered that old vintage door and made a nice cover too! This was before I did the ground.
