I started un-following friends that just annoyed me with too much political crap ... a lot better than unfriending and they dont see the change, but you then dont see everything they post.... so now I have a few people I actually still follow 
I mostly just pay attention to the S2000 group and SCCA group on there. Main reason I use it at all anymore though is that our local autox club started using it more for club stuff and I am on the board so need to monitor that

I've also unfollowed a number of people. Deactivated my account in January/February and don't regret it. I do miss out on some community events but at the same time I'm also not subject to a barrage of people's anger and fear. A friend is opening a board shop this month and I've been tempted to go back on to show my support. Pretty sure my random FB post and "like" on her page won't make or break her business though so....
