FACT

Thanks to the coppers and the gumshoes of the day, these eggs usually ended up in the big house, or in a Chicago overcoat.

The robin has a keen sense of hearing. These birds will locate earthworms by cocking their head parallel to the ground to listen for earthworms moving under the soil.

FACT or CRAP ?

Robins can't hear earthworms move. The only worms robins can located are the ones that have been washed up after a rain, or after a garden has been watered. Another birdbrain myth busted!

Honey is often used in black-and-white movies to simulate human blood.

Fact. I think it's also used in fancy colourized movies too.

I bet they'll say it's fact, so I'll say crap.

I remember reading somewhere that in Psycho, they used dark syrup. Honey seems a little too thick to simulate blood.

CRAP

Chocolate syrup, not honey, is the preferred condiment used in black-and-white movies to mimic human blood. Hitchcock used it in Psycho's famous shower scene.
