mom should know this having owned 2 of them but not in the 60's

& we def called them that

I don't know if the car was called that but we played a game called slug bug where you got to punch the person next to you when you saw a VW Beetle. I guess that means crap.

I called it slug bug, the way the game went for me was "[insert colour] punch buggy, no punches back"

You'd love Costa Rica,

The old school ones are immensely popular. Not exactly restored but rather just driven around like normal DDs

We just played slug bug... I never heard punch buggy until I met Canadians.
