False. When I went to Russia they actually had beer vending machines on the street and if I remember correctly there were communal glasses. Of course that was last century so I imagine things might have changed.

Given the calendar's past, I'm going to count on them not realizing this law changed years ago.

 

Great now we are supposed to anticipate what point in time the creators of the calendar are basing their questions on.

 

I usually just go with ~1990.

If this were a 2012 calendar, this would have been a fact. The law changing the designation of beer from a soft drink to an alcoholic drink came into effect in Russia on January 1, 2013 It's not true unless it is officially deemed true, at least in Russia!
