During the MIddle Ages in Europe, before staying in an inn, noblemen would place a servant in their room for the bed bugs to feed on.
The servant's master would only enter the room after the bed bugs were too full of the servant blood to bother him.

People would place a pig, not a servant in their room for the bed bugs to feed on, in the hope that the bugs would gorge on the pig's blood and bother them. Is your room bugged? <: rolleyes:
